3) The methodology of the proposed research is overall unclear and needs some explanation;

• Kindly specify the form of licorice and propolis natural products that the patients will be exposed to.
• It is mentioned that there is a mouthwash? Was the safety of this mouthwash studied before? How were the doses calculated? What is the frequency and duration of exposure, and how were they determined?
• There is no mention of the licorice in the methodology in terms of its preparation, safety of dosage or form supplied in.

4) Will the participating subjects be given standard treatment to avoid caries incidence? What are the preventive measures offered?

5) Please mention the safety precautions and where the determination of salivary Streptococcus mutans counts will be performed.
