Protocol Title

Protective Effects of Dietary Purslane (Portulaca oleracea) Extract on Growth Performance and Biochemical and immunological Responses of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) Exposed to Lead Toxicity

Completely satisfied and informative data

Needs Explanation

Comments to the applicant

1-   Writing department name.

2-   Writing institute name.

3-   NOT “conducting fish feeding trials” it should be written “conducting fish Nutrition trials”.

4-   The protocol was NOT reviewed by scientific reviewing committee it should be reviewed at first.

5-   Time period covered by search is 5 years ???? in spite of duration of study 45 days

6-    Fund amount NOT mentioned.

7-   Hypothesis, Rationale and Scientific Validity :                     Dietary supplementation with purslane extract will mitigate the toxic effects of lead exposure in Nile tilapia by reducing tissue lead accumulation, improving growth performance and physiological health, enhancing antioxidant defense mechanisms, and alleviating histopathological damage in a dose-dependent manner. (NEED reference).

8-   The lead-exposed groups will be maintained in water containing the predetermined sublethal concentration of lead, please mention method of adding Lead in details with optimum concentration to avoid reach lethal dose.

9-   Fish will be anesthetized using an approved fish anesthetic before sample collection, please mention reference and methods including recommended dose.

10-     Does this protocol involve the use of substances that may pose any health risk (infectious, carcinogenic, toxic, bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, cell lines, primary cells, tissue, fluids, blood, recombinant DNA, chemicals, laser or radiation) to humans? Researcher said No but actually Lead is toxic for human as it is mimics the essential minerals like Ca, blocks cell vital enzymes and damage the nervous system moreover Lead is carcinogenic for human SO researcher should take recommended precautions with writing reference in every step dealing with Lead during available research of concern.
