Comment to the Committee

The protocol needs modifications.

Although this is the second time the protocol is being submitted , it requires modifications, as follows:

1- The Arabic title: The translation of Agastache Rugosa is not Korean mint (either translate the Latin name as is or write Korean mint).

2- There is only one supervisor in the protocol!!!
3- The scientific background is short and does not include references, and the plants under study were not discussed.
4- Some parts of the experimental procedures are written in the past tense.
5- In the in vivo study (anti-inflammatory) experiment, the distribution of animals into groups and treatments is unclear! The student explained that the rats would be divided into 4 groups (control – pro-inflammatory drug (indomethacin) – 2 groups treated with peppermint oil at the same concentration of 100 mg/kg).
6- The student stated that the cells to be studied in vitro would be obtained from the cell bank of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shanghai Institute of Cell Biology, Shanghai, China). How and by what method? How? (Four cell types: human lung cancer cells, human stomach cancer cells, human leukemia cells, and human liver cancer cells)
7- The sample size and groups are unclear.
8- There is inaccuracy in the number of rats. In one instance, it states a total of 66, and in another, 4 groups with 6 animals each.
9- Although the protocol clearly states that the cancer cells will be imported from China, the student mentions in the experimental procedure section at the end of the protocol that she will use mice to produce the cancer cells. The student did not explain why this section is necessary.
10- Form 90, the departmental approval form, is undated.
